For the first half they dominated the play but could only come up with one goal- off the stick of Mary Brad— ley. The Lady Panthers held on to the lead until the 68 minute markrwhen Molly Fish— er got credit for a goal which deflected off of one of our halfbacks stick. It was an unfortunate break for the Lady Panthers as a game cannot end in a tie. In the 10 minutes overtime period Mt. A scored on a short corner and the Lady Panth— ers play-off hopes looked dim. ' Friday October 17 UPEI 3 — Dal. 2 Statistically, the Lady I Panthers were still in the position for a play—off 3‘berth but when you have to face the defending AUAA champs and a team that has dt been scored upon or defeat— ed for their first seven games you would naturally Alhave your doubts about coming out with 2 points. However, the Lady Panthers, who aren't as skilled-a team as Dalhousie, outscored them with their desire and determination. Dal took a 2-0 lead in the first 25 minutes of play on a two goal effort by Heather Chute. Just before the half the Lady Panthers got on the. scoreboard when Joyce Bur- Three 'ln‘ Playo‘tf’uuest A Photo: Gordon Pierce Field Hockey Action in Moncton nett put in Janet Trainor's rebound.
