'UPEI Student Union will be operating on a deficit budget for the first time in the past three years .‘Ihe reason given for this wasth the Student Union paid off the remainder of the debt on the Barn last spring and also the cost of renovating- over the summer. 'Ihere ' have been cuts in most of the sub—committees, the most notable being‘the SUN and Radio Station. 'lhe SUN was cut from $8553 in '77t'78 $6000 for '78-'79 and CIMN frcm $3686 to $2000. ‘ 'Jhese cuts will mean a tightening of a few belts but shouldn't cause too many problems.
