Tar Mirrary Prenic.—Owing to the excessive rains yesterday morning, the Committee were at first undecided whether they should postpone the picnic, but as the boat could not be obtained for the following day, and old Sol haviae made his appear- ance towards noon, they decided to make the best of a bad day. It was rather un- fortunate that the rain should have come as it did, as it made it very difficult for the committee to carry out their arrangements as at first in‘ended. The sail up and down the river was delightful, and all seemed to enjoy it thoroughly. We cannot say that the refreshment booth was as well arranged as it might have been. But as this was the first Military Picnic held for some time, this mey be excused, We hope next year the Committee will make a great effort and establish an annual picnic. ~*MARRIED. | At the residence of the brides mother, on the I!th inst., by the Kev.
