The regular monthly meeting of the E
Sunimerside Town Council was held
on Monday evening with Mayor
Manson presiding. All the Council-
lors were present with the exception S
of Councillor Bell. The tender of

unpaid, $757.14. The town bills were
not passed as the chairman of the
Finance Commltee, Coun. Boll, was
not present. Several communica-
tions were read and filed. Mr. J.
A. Brace verbally requested the
Council to look into the surface wa-
ter on his land on Granville Street,
which he says is caused by the street
being raised. coun. McNeill, Chair-
man of the Street Committee, re-
ported that the butment at the west
end was' completed and other minor
repairs done. Coun. Phillips, chair-
man of Police Committee, reported
30 arrests for drunkenness; one
conviction for stealing; one vngrant;
four driving to common danger;
two arrested for driving while
drunk. Total fl.nes, $269.50. The
milk test was also submitted and
passed. Coun. Grady, Parks Com-
mittee, reported that the old band-
stahd in Dominion Square had been
tom down and sold and a new one
erected. After some discussion on
the arrangements and plans for the
