      warming,

      natural
      disasters
      of
      all

      However,
      determining
      the
      effects
      of
     
     
      global
      warming
      is
      extremely

      "It
      is
      very
      difficult
      to
      predict,"
      claimed
     
     
      Dr.
      Wagner.
      "But
      one
      thing
      we
      can
      do
     
     
      is
      measure
      what
      has
      happened
      in

      last
      100

      When
      one
      looks
      at
      the
      occurrence

      weather-related
      disasters
      across
     
     
      Canada
      over
      the
      last
      100
      years,
      the
     
     
      results
      are
      troubling.
      Canada
      has
      gone
     
     
      from
      averaging
      less
      than
      one
      weather
     
     
      disaster
      a
      year
      to
      more
      than
      one
      per
     
     
      month
      during
      the
      20th
      century.
      These
     
     
      statistics
      paint
      a
      bleak
      picture
      for
      the

      "We
      should
      take
      proper
      warning,"
      Mr.
     
     
      Etcheverry
      cautions.
      "Inaction
      is
      not
     
     
      the
      way
      to
      go.
      We
      will
      see
      massive
     
     
      economic
      costs.
