The decision of the judges was in favor c! the Con side (the modern woman) and a nice prize was awarded to the win- ning side. An interesting contest was then enjoyed by all. Mrs. R4 R. Murphy. Mrs. J. E. Campbell won the prize in the contest. Theo singing of the National Anthem brought this meeting to a close after which the hostess served a delicious lunch assisted by Laura Graham and Mrs. J. E. Murphy. The next meeting will be held at gig homo of Mrs. John E. Camp- The funeral of the late Pauline Coulson, R. N. was hold from her father's residence at Sea View on Friday afternoon and was largo attended by many friends from‘ far and near who came to pay their last tribute of respect to the de- ceased who was greatly loved and respected for her loving and charming personality. To know her; was to love her. she was called to higher service in the Home Be-i ycnd. The service at the home' was conduct-vi by REV. Mr. Fream assist/ed by Rev. Mr. Thomas. Rev- Mr. Fream spoke many comfort- ing words to the bereaved and nald a lilting tribute to the many fine nualltlcs to the life of the de- ceased and her cheerful willing- ness to help ln every wav possible in the Master's service. The de- ceased was a member of the choir of St. Stephen's Church, Burllng~ ton and greatly assisted in her voice of song. The hvmns sung were. Peace. Perfect Peace. Safe In The Arms of Jesus. Mr. Roscoe Walker sane with deep feeling. Will The Circle Be Unbroken. Rev. Mr. Thomas offered prayer and read the Scripture. At the close of the serv‘ce the remains were bournc to St. Stephen's Church 0f which the deceased was a faithful and devout member.
