Last week a smaller halibut weighing about a hundred pounds was brought in by George Dou- cette. Fissh of this size put up quite a battle before being boat- ed and both of these provided plenty of excitement for the cod fishermen. The trick is to get them close enough to the boat to be able to make use of several additional hooks. Although not common in these waters one or tWo halibut are caught almost every year in Tignish.
