The Navy started the ball roiling again in the final frame, when Johnny Higson picked up a loose puck inside his opponents‘ blue- line to slip the puck behind goalie strain at the 1:25 mark to put his team out in front by three goals. but the Saints retaliated at 4:35 when Houde and MacDonald combined on a nice attack from centre ice, the former driving home a hard shot. The tally was the start of a pressure attack by Saints who banged in two more goals by the time the lhmlnuto mark in the period had been reached to tie up the score at 8-8. Reg Rodgers got the first at 12:24 when he teamed up with Houds on a passing attack in front of the net, with Cart. McDonald get- ting his second of the period less than a minute later when he and Honda combined on s smart pass- ing play from centre ice. From then on both teams broke wide open, with both pulling some really smart passing attacks that had the crowd on their feet most of the time.
