Royal PG 2 —— FIRE DAMAGES .. .. 0'LEARY — The 0'Leary fire department was called out about ‘I o’clock last night to the farm of Ba<i‘. MacNevin in Mount Royal where a farm tractor and a baler were damaged and a quaniity of straw destroyed in a flash fire. The blaze broke out so quick- ly from the tractor muffler that Mr MacNevin and his son-ln- law. Christopher Sabine, were unable to move the machine from the straw stack to safety. The tires were completely burned off and other damage caused by the time O'Leary firemen reached the scene and extinguished the fire. Fine, Suspension Handed Speeder SUMMERSIDE A chase through Summerside streets at speeds of up to 85 miles p er hour resulted in a $50 fine and a license suspension of t h r e e months to 16-year-old Gordon - William Toombs of Summerside. Magistrate R.S. Hinton also recommended to the motor veh- icle registrar that another nine months suspension be added. Three months is the maximum time a driver's license can be suspended under the act on this charge of driving without due care and attention. Police Chief S.D.A. Wanna- maker told the court that Toombs and another unidentif- ied youth were throwing fire- crackers from their car at girls When the patrol car approached them they sped away and man- aged to elude the patrol for a period of ten minutes or more as they careened around corn- ers at very fast speeds.
