For those of you who graduate this year, and this includes you education majors and engineers, Senior Week 1982 is fast approaching. The Senior Class executive has spent a considerable amount of time in planning the activities for this week, which runs from April 26 to May 2. The cost of ‘ registering for ’Senior Week .'82 will be $20, 00. While this may seem high at first, please remember that this means you will receive over $35.00 worth in free entries to _ events. Seniors will be ' admitted free to two main events, one formal ball, one banquet, and two other dances, along with several other functions. Those who register for Senior Week will receive a packagewhich will include buttons and mugs (or hats if you want to pay another dollar)and the kangaroos will be available to picked up. Please show’ your support for the Senior Class and participate. Senior week won't be ‘ a success without YOU! Monday, April 26 ‘ Senior Week starts on Monday with a regist— ration pub in the after— noon at the Barny A BBQ with hot dogs and ham— burgers will follow. The Main Event Monday night ‘takes place at the Barn with Terry Kelly. All students, not just _ Senior students, may attend this event. Tickets will be available at the ’ Barn, for other students, at $2.00 for students and $3. for non-students. / Tuesday, April 27 g The Basilica Bowling Lanes are booked for-2:00 Tuesday afternoon so we can spend an enjoyable afternoon bowling. A wine and cheese party for Senior students, presented by the Faculty ASsociation, will take place at 7:00 at the UPEI cafeteria. ' Following this, students will go to the Showboat for an evening of drinking and dancing. Ryder will be the band playing there / and again, senior students will get in free. Wednesday, April 28 The afternoon is reserved for a tea with President and Mrs. Meincke at their home on Fitzroy Street. A main event will be held Wednesday night at the Barn and Titan are booked to entertain us. This event is also open to all students and is sure to be a great time! Tickets will be available at the Barn and will be $3. for students and #4. for ' non—Students . Thursday, April 29 Thursday is a big day. There will be a softball game in the ' afternoon at the UPEI _ field and all are welcome to come and watch even if they don't take part. A cash bar reception will be held prior to the A ' banquet at the Charlottetown Hotel and the Parkview _ ’ Salons are booked for the vald'ictory banquet from __ 7:00—9 :00. Dinner will consist of a seafood cocktail, roast turkey with all ,the trimmings, potatoes, and black forest cake. Sounds good! This'event is ‘ restricted to those seniors who have registered for senior week. If there are any seniors who have not registered for senior Week and wish to attend this event, tickets may be purchased. at the Alumni office for $12. 7 per person until‘Tuesday, April 27, at 12:00. Following the banquet and the valdictory address, we will move to the Georgian 'Room at "the Hotel" for a dance with . the band "Reunion".i This dance is restricted to Senior students and their escorts.
