The death occurred at North Rus-
tico on Sunday evening last, October
15th, after a year's illness, of Leon
F. Gallant, aged 77. Mr. Gallant
who had been engaged in fishing
for many years was an industrious
and highly respected resident. HI

Makes Record Trip

Somers," which reached dock here
early Monday morning from Jem-
aica and the Bahamas vis. Bermuda.
The liner made the run in foul
days and 15 hours which is believ-
ed to establish a, precedent. Her
haste was due to the necessity for
catching up with her close sched-
ule, the Ladry Rodney, south bound
from Montreal having been un-
avoidably delayed by weather con-
dltions.
The two liners always pass M

West Indies were passengers on the
