CENTRAL ROYALTY INSTITUTE The December meeting of Central Royalty Womens Institute met at the home of Mrs. W. P. McLeod with the President, Mrs. Cecil Wood ln the chair. The roll~call “Romance in the Pantry", was responded to by members giv- ing interesting information on foods and spices in daily use in the pantry. Minutes of last meeting were read and adopted. ..'I‘he 'school committee had a good report from their visit. , The sick were visited and a sick member had ri potted plant sent to her while in the hospital. The Gvro Club sea‘s were sold at the meeting and $1.00 was sent in fo the committee in charge. Miss Laura Cullen, Convenor on ` Legislation, had the paper discussed and filled in at the meeting. The bride and groom represent two well known families of the community and are quite popuiar amongst a wide circle of relatives and friends. A varied programme of solos, readings and dialogues was rendered ln a pleasing manner. ARCHIBALD BELL There passed peacefully to rest at Searletown, early Sunday morning. December 8th, Archibald Bell, aged 'll years. Although suffering with a painful disease for over a year, which he bore with wonderful pati- ence, his death came as a shook to his family and' many friends. His funeral, which was held on Wednesday. Dec. 11th, from his home to the Church of Scotland Cemetery at Cape Traverse was largely attended. 'I'he services at the house and at the church were conducted by Rev. Ewen Ma.cDou- gall, assisted by Rev. Mr. Organ of the United Church at Bedeque. During the service at the house the United Choir sang very softly “Shall We Meet Beyond the River." He leaves to cherish his memory, his widow, three sons and four daughters. The daughters are Ida. Mrs. Horace sobey, Eearletown; Tlsie Mrs. Roy Hill, Freetown: Jennie T., Mrs. Hollis Watts. Boston, Mass-; Florence T.. Mrs. Roy MacDonald, Albany. The sons are Lloyd, Gil- bert, Frank at home; also four brothers and three sisters. The brothers are Martin and Robert of Winnipeg; Fred of Lowell, Maas.;' Elliott, of Bedeque. The sisters are Louise of Moncton, NB.; Janet, in California; Margaret. of Somerville, Mass. One brother George, and one sister Flora predeceased him a short time ago. The poll bearers mere Mfssra.
