BERNARDINE BOMBS DAY STUDENTS r A rodgh and tough soccer team from Second Floor Bernardine recently defeated a hapless and dis— organized Day Student team by a score of 4-0. The Bernardine team were led in the onslaught by . Denise Moore and Andre Campbell. Moore.and Campbell using the game as a warm-up for the Pig and Whistle held later that night, were constantly on the move. 0n the other side of the.leger, Day Student goalie Brigid Connolly was a bright light for most of the game. The Bernardine Team, however, soon turned that bright light into a rather dull one,‘ with relentless pressure resulting in four well earned goals. \ \Despite the loss, the Day Students say they will not quit. If you are a Day Student and would like to play soccer, for heavens sake get out and help them. Last week the team looked like a cross between the "Bad News Bears" and the "Toronto Blue days". And we know, the world doesn't need anymore teams like the notorious Blue Jays. Bad weather continued to play havoc with the softball schedule. For the second week in a row the Day Students were rained out. Their opponents this week were Bernardine 24. Blanchard Hall continues to roll along with a convincing win over Bernardine 13. Blanchard Hall, led by the "Up West Crew" of Donna Gaudet, Sharon Handrahan, and Bernadette Shea look like the team to beat in intramural softball this year. Strong bats and good gloves are the rule rather than the exception on this team. _ The Flag Football Tournament is really beginning to shape up. »If you or your team is interested in playing, get your name into me as soon as possible. A list of teams and team members will be published next week. Till'then, see ya - or as we Orkans say NANOO, NAN00!!
