     In last weeks CADRE I 
     
     made a statement concern- 
     
     ing what Student Services 
     
     has done for me. I implied 
     
     that I had received no ass— 
     
     istance from them except a 
     
     student card. In penning the 
     
     aforementioned I did not 
     
     consider the health centre~ 
     
     or Joyce our nurse as part 
     
     of Student Services. This 
     
     applies as well to the Can— 
     
     ada Manpower Centre. When 
     
     I realize this I have to 
     
     retract the "nothing" to a 
     
     degree. 
     
    

    
     Joyce has in fact looked 
     
     after me when I was ill and 
     
     also helped me with informr 
     
     ation on an essay one time. 
     
     I have found her very con- 
     
     genial. Father Tingley too 
     
     has supplied me with inform— 
     
     ation for the asking. Man— 
     
     power too has provided me 
     
     with job information. 
     
    

    
     So I guess Student ser— 
     
     vices in this context has 
     
     helped me and come to think 
     
     of it, with a smile, I can 
     
     testify from experience to 
     
     the good "vibs" I've gotten 
     
     from Student Services. 
     
    

    
     However when I asked Jim 
     
     Griffith for a student card 
     
     the only date I could get 
     
     out of him was "quote" 
     
     "Before Xmas, maybe in a 
     
     month and if enough people 
     
     come to ask for a card." 
     
     unquote, it was even poss— 
     
     ible to get one in two weeks. 
     
     Then I was dismissed from 
     
     his office as my need for 
     
     a student card was quote, 
     
     "inconveniencing" unquote
