Gaudet now making her home with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Myers of Tignish, will on October 29th_ celebrate her 98th birthday. Already her five children and relatives living in the United States and Canada are planning a family reunion at her cresent home to commemorate the oc- casion on that date. This venerable elderly lady, who has lived in Tignish all of her life time, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Arsenault. At an early age she married Peter Gaudin. and by this marriage had four children now residing in Rumford and Mexico Maine. After the birth of the fourth child her husband died. She was again wedded to Sylvain S. Gaud- et who also passed away several years later. By her second mar- riage one daughter, named Eva, was born and is now the wife of Leo Myers with whom she is now making her home. At her advanced age Mrs. Gaudet enjoys good health. Her memory hearing and eyesight, are still perfect and does not even year glasses at any time, Be- sides helping with many house- hold -duties she finds ample time to attend to her knitting and sew- mg.
