value has been equal to an average ad-
vance of about 2e. per pound and New
Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and P. E. Is-
land have accordingly reaped a corres-
ponding advantage. Although there
has lately been a slight easing off in
quotations it looks as though cheese V

strength indefinitely. It is said th.-t the.
stock in Canada is not more than one

holders are confident that there will be`

quality of product and quantity turned
ont. The various reasons alleged for
the prevailing higher range ot- cheese
notations in Great Britain ’ include a
shortage in the home product of seri-
ous proportions and this has caused the
quick absorption of shipments from the
Maritime Provinces and Montreal.

values then when they have been run-

production. The feeling, therefore. in
the lower provinces with rezar-l to the
cheese and butter tride during the past
season is one which may he considered
as satisfactory to a degree and much
