DANIEL MURPHY The death occurred at her homo in Bummerslde on Sunday March 24th. of Mrs. Daniel Murphy (nee Mary Kelly) in her 82nd year. Mrs. Murphy had been apparent- oying her usual health un- til about two weeks previous to her death when she sustained a slight shock and all that medical care and kind nursing could do was of no avail. She passed to her et- emul reward fortified by the last rites of the Roman Catholic Church administered by the pastor, Rt. Rev. Monsignor Maurice MacDonald who was also a frequent visitor during her illness. Mrs. Murphy's passing will be keenly felt by many particularly in the home where she was a de- voted wlfe and a kind and loving mother and in the district where her kindness and genial smile af- forded everyone a welcome. Mrs. Murphy was one of the many mothers who cheerfully went through the trying ordeal of walt- lng and watching all through the years of the war as she had three sons on active service. Joe and Albert who joined in 1939 and Reg i941. She leaves to mourn besides her sorrow-lug husbandf five sons: Frank 6.. Summcrvilie; Joscpn. of Schurman & 00., Summcrslde; Stephen at home; Albert of the Mobile Unit and Reg at home, also three daughters: Katherine ,of Montreal; Mary (Mrs. John Cur- michael, Elliotvale and Genevieve at home. Two brothers, Edward Kelly of Greenfield. Francis of Boston; one sister. Mrs, John Cor- coran, Baldwin's Road. One bro- ther and three sisters predccreased her some years ago, Mrs. Murphy was a first cousin of Bishop Kelly of Oklahoma who paid her a visit on his lest trip to his native province, ' A large concourse of people fol- lowed the remains to St. Joachlm's Church, Vernon River, when all that was mortal of u loving mother and wife was laid to res . Muss of Requiem was celebrated by her cousin, Rev. J. A. O'Sulllvan who also officiated at the grave. The pallbearers were, her five sons and nephew Martin Cc-rcorzin.
