Crawford, of New Glasgow, de- ltvered the Associational sermon, —*‘ The Mystery of Godliness.” The new pastor at Montague preachedin the evening. His theme was “The Only (Basis for Christian Union.” Deata oF A Paiest.—The death of Rev. Father Francis Macdonald is announced to-day. It occurred at St. George’s this morning. The deceased priest was 85 years Of age, and a few weeks ago passed the sixtieth anniversary of his ordina- tion. He had the _ reputation of being the oldest priest in Canada. Owing to his advanced age and declining health “Father Francis,” as he was familiarly called, has not been able to take avery active partin the duties of the priesthood for some time. He was widely known and greatly es- teemed. The funeral will take place on Thureday. (linc Lecrvure on Heatta.—The parlors of the W. C: T.
