WINTER CARNIVAl ‘ After last week, many of you had probably believed you'd seen the last of the good 'o_le Business Col— utm and had lamented the passing of this fine bit . of journalistic excellence. Well, fear not, we're back on the tracks again. Please excuse our absence last week, but post-holi— \ day blues helped to con- fuse me sufficiently so as to render creativity, to any extent, impossible. ANYWAY - As you may have noticed, the Business Soc- iety broke tradition by failing to hold their an— nual Xmas party last Decem- ber. The main reason for this was the fact'that' there were so many parties during that last week be- fore the break. coupled with Exams and planning for the vacation, that we felt we wouldn't get the turnoutwe'd like to have. We've decided, therefore, to have one major party in February, around Val— entine's Day, for which we'll go all out. Keep watching this column, and posters around Kelley, for further details. , Winter Carnival is just around the corner and this year the Business Society will be taking a very, ac— tive role. It will be held on Feb. 15 at the Charlottetown Hotel. Ti— ckets will go on sale at the beginning of Feb. , and our speaker will be the President of York University. Anyone willing to help with the sale of tickets to downtown business people should con-‘— tact any member of the Exec— utive, or leave word with Freda Cox. I Unfortunately, [I find my— self to be totally cut of touch regarding the'status fo the Business teams in in— tramural sports.. I would ap— preciate anyone involved and wanting theresults publiciz- ed, leaving a note with me, care of Freda in Kelley, and I'll make sure it gets into the column. The same is true for anyone who thinks they have~an item of general in— terest to Business Students, which they would like to see in print — just leave it with Freda (I'd. be particularly interested in any juicy tid- bits of gossip, or personal opinions regarding courses, profs or the Bus.
