All of the students at the High school were tested by yesterday morning. and the unit has now moved to the Health Centre in the former Prince County Hospital where the students of st. Mai-y's Convent will be tested, and then this service will be made available to the adult population of Sum- merside. The procedure is simply a visit to this clinic where a chest X-ray and tuberculin skin test is given. This is followed by a return visit 48 hours later to have this test read. Those who do not react to this test are advised to be vac- cinated with B. C. G. which in- creases resistance to the develop- ment of active tuberculosis by '15 per cent. Summerside is the third com- munity on P. E. l. to co-operate in this valuable survey. Previously Borden and st. Peter's have com- pleted this program. Dr. P. A. Creelman. Director of the Division of Tuberculosis Con- trol. said it was important for everyone to attend this clinic. particularly the elderly people. Minutes of the last meeting were read and signed. The report of the work done to the church property last year was very favorable and plans were discussed for the addition of I. choir room and Vestry to the church. The foundation was laid last fall.
