The Guardian's representative vis- ited Keith's Theatre, Boston, du- ring the week oi Aug. 29th and was greatly impressed with the en- tertainment. It was an excellent show with not a dull moment, and included star actors and actresses, including Eleanor Gordon and Theo. dore Friebus, who are well known in vaudeville. They were given a warm welcome and presented the "Sweet Widow Marie," a nbright little skit that is brim full of comical situa- tions, and Eleanor Gordon as Marie Warrington and Mr. Friebus as Deck Forrest carried out their parts well. Rose Pitonof opened her third suc- cessful week in her diving and swim- ming act. Of an entirely different nature, but also smacking of the sea, was the lively number of Joe Hart’s "bathing girls." It contains more of comedy than aquatic art, but made an instant hit. It has six lively scenes that vary from New York to Paris and from an artist’s studio to the surf. Another number that is a top notcher is that of the four Read- ings. They do some difficult feats, such as turning somersaults from an upright position on one man's shoul- der to a posture of standing upon their hands supported upon the palms of another, in a highly finish- ed manner. These feats are done with so mucn polish and apparent ease that their difficulty seems less than it really is. Charles F. Semon, "the narrer feller," was a funmaker of whom the audience hated to lose sight. The .Kinetograph pictures were also thoroughly interesting. ::ARENA Bowling Alleys open to- day 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. 9-27dtf. Pure Cream Bread Tasty from Crust fo lleari.
