The deceased was in failing health for a number of and was tan. duly cared for his wife. The late Mr. Machleill. son of Mr. and Mrs. Josiah uacNelli. was born in New Peruh. Early in lire he learned the cheese and butter mak- ing trade which he followed for many years until he retired in 1932. Since then he had been on the farm with nis son, Lynwocd. For a number of years he had been secretary of the Cardigan Electric Light Company. He was s ” ' ' member of st Andrew's Presby- terian Church and in his younger years was very active in Church work. having been Sunday school Superintendent for many years and a leader in G-hr-stian Endea- vour. He was a man of sterling worthhhonest and upright in char- acter a man whose word was never questioned. He was a fine citl"en and his passing will leave a vac- ancy in home and conununity which will be hard to till. Last septcmb all the family were at home and celebrated the com wedding .lr.nlversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ma.cNeill, an occasion which Mr. Manheill, although in ill health. greatly enjoyed. He leaves to mourn besides his sorrowing widow. (nee Jane Buch- anan). two sons Harvey 0! Cam- bridge, Mass., and Lynwoud at home. and one riaugnter. Florence. (Mrs. Melvin Becker). of Ayr, Ontario; also three sisters Minnie, (Mrs. John Mscxinnonl. nrockilne, Mass. Cora. (Mrs. Will Revel). Woburn Mass. and Mar- garet (Mrs. Arfhur Smith) Brook- line, Mass. Nine grandchildren and one great grand child also survive. Two sons and two daughters predeceased him a num- ber of years ago. His sister, Mrs. Maoliinnon, a-in Harvey Ind dalllhinr. !"iorer.ce. were home for the funeral. Truly it may be said of the deceased, ti'il..'. earth's loss is Heaven's ga'n.
