Thane Doyle, the Char- lottetown goalie also made some fine saves in this period as both teams were looking for the first tally. The Royals took over in the second period firing five goals past an overworked Dillon while Thane Doyle was scored uP0fl only once by the Aces. Angie Carroll and Merill Pin- eau used some very nice passing tactics to get by the Summerside defence for the Royals first goal. Carollwe nt right to the far corner before passing the puck back to Pineau was stationed in front, of the net, Pineau’s hard slhot got by Dillon by inches. Pineau’s goal came at 1.02 and the Royals continued to put on the pressure. Angie Carroll fir- ed a hard shot that looked like it hit the center post inside the net and bounced out again. Referee Jack Kane didn't see it that way and didn’t allow the tally. The Royals however scored their second goal a few seconds later to make up for it. Spy Ready after receiving a pass from Angie Carroll blasted the rubber between Dillon’s legs into the net. ' Skip Carver put the Royals three goals up at 9.24 on a pass from Buck Whitlock, Carver's hard shot just caught the corner of the net. The Aces finally got into the scoring a few seconds later when Benny ‘Grady scored their only goal.
