Rowell 4 Co. do not want business or are unwilling to drum for it, but that they find a cheaper and more efficacious wav of securing patronage ia to keep their names before the public by using the adver tising columos of the newspapers. Doing this they attract those advertisers who wish their services, anc avoid annoying or wasting the time of those who%have not yet arrived at that conclusion, The newspaper is the most per- sistent and at the same time the beat mapvered of all advertising canvassers. ——-_——--- cable micssage Was ! nst at Harvard College | observatory, Boston, from Lord Crawford in | Aberdeen.
