DIRECTORS of The Willow Hill Silver Black Fox Company Limited have T recently decided to enlarge their ranching facilities and to add other young f0>_c- ` es`t0 their present stock of breeders and for this purpose have had their authorized capital stock increased. ’l`his will give the investor a chance to place his money in a fox ranch that has a record behind it. _ The foxes of the Company consist of five pairs of proven breeders and five pairs of young foxes, the product of our own ranch, except in so far as it is necessary to introduce new blood. All of which will be capitalized at $23 000 per pair or $230,000 in all. This will include the plant and all necessary equipment for the proper ranching and caring of foxes in captivity and which has been constructed in accordance with the most modern methods :md at a considerable expense to the press nt own- ers. ‘ ` ` Of the five pairs of breeding foxes above mentioned, one pair_and the first purchased by the present owners is 4 years of age and_has already, produced 24 young and has raised 100 p. c. of this number. Another pair thc fe- ’ male of which i_s the progeny ofthe first litter of the above pair has produced and raised 15 young‘in three years; a third pair the male of which is the progeny of same, litter has sired 12 young during the_ same time, all. of which were raised to matunty. The Coiriiany has met with exceptional and continu success since its organization inthe year 1911, having raised 7 young from 1 pair in that year; 11 young in the year'1912, 'and 16 gaming in the year 1913 and of these 16 young p.c. of them raised young during the present year. There are 19 young inthe ranch of the present yea_r’s product|on,a are healthy and doing exceptionally well. The Company has paid in dividends to its shareholders since organization in 1911, over $100,000. and has foxes in its ranch valued at _ $287,000. Every fox owned by the company is eligible for registration in “Class A” of the Prince Ed- ward Island Fox Breeders Association Stand- ard and the original brcederswcrc purchased from the original Island Stock of B. I. Raynor, Silas Raynor and Robert T. Oulton. Of the $230,000 present stock issue of the Company, about 75 p.c. will betakcn up by the present shareholders and the balance will be offered to the public; this will enable the future shareholder to secure stock in breeding foxes of the highest quality obtainable at a very moderate capitalization. _ The management of the foxes of the Com- pany will continue the same as during the past thrcc years. The foxes will be under the direct charge of the President, Mr. Arthur H. Locke, (t e largest stockholder in the Company) and the only charge to the shareholders will be the actual cost of feed and caretaking and this cost has not exceeded an average of 1 1-2 per cent. per year of the value of the offspring of young foxes produced and raised by the Com- pany. I The past success of thc C0mpnny's busi- ness is in a verv large measure due to the ef-. ficient inzinagcment of thc care-taker, Mr. Locke; he has sho wn great aptitude in ac- quainting hunsel f with the conditions of animal life and cunning Reynard in pm'iicular _and he can be counted on to look after your best in- terests in the Company. » Application for stock in the Company may be made to the Secretary or‘t0 any of th_e Directors on the Application Form attached to the Prospectus or any form to the like effect, 20 p.c. of subscriptions must accompany each application and the e balance on or before the 15th day of August next, 1914. _' 3482-7~16Mtuesthur&sat3i _ . , H- .U 1 " ‘> r . 3ll‘.'°'_'° *V\?f°"\**‘* _"N VAL" .»..:\~.._¢.'if»‘=~~L‘. -' . . r A re M DR.
