The fire was first discovered by Mrs. MacPhee and her son, who noticed the blaze on the side of the barn which was on the next farm. recently purch- ased by Mr. Mat':P-hee. In a short time the fire spread through the barn to the hay, and despite the efforts of the firefighters the other two barns also were destroyed. No livestock or machinery were lost. The financial extent of the loss was not known, nor was it learn- ed whether or not Mr. MacPhee had insurance on the property.
