The fire was dis- covered by two Post Office clerks, who, after femoving the horses and cattle from one adart- ment of the stable, vave the alarm. ‘The fire bell rang slowly ; the different engines and Rook and Ladder Co , went quickly to the scene and did excellent work in extinguishing the fire and saving the surrounding buildings. ir.
