Guardi: jan, Charlotteto Longtime Resident — Dies In Hospital longtime | Mrs. Wendell Burhoe, 231 Rich- Spurgeon MacNeill, resident of Charlottetown, died yesterday at the Prince Edward Island Hospital after a brief ill- mess in his 72 year. ; Mr, MaeNeill, son of the late Mtr. and Mrs. Bernard MacNeill, formerly from Belfast, was born in Charlottetown in 1894. He moved to Knutsford ia 1905 where he received his edu- cation and later joined the Army and served over8tas with the! in People’s Cemetery. 105 + Battallion during World War 1. Following the war he returned to Knutsford and was employed as for.man, Canadian National Railroad. Mr. MacNeill served with the Veteran's during the Second World War and later returned 1arlottetown where he was agaih employed with the CNR urtil his retirement in 1959. ™. MacNeill lived at’ home; | 231 Richmond Street, until the time of his death. \ Active as-a deacon in the First | Ba ''st Church, Charlottetown, Mr.- MacNeill was also a mem- ber of the Royal Le‘ion.
