J0.Tu5h", :5 was familiarly known througho t Savase H3150? and surrounding districts. had been ailing for the past three years. De- spite this fact. his many friends. Mm young and old were greatly shocked and saddened by his sud- den death. Mr. Doyle, after a four week per- iod gpent in Charlottetown Hospi- tal. returned to his home on De- ,.em.im- 3, 1951, where he was ten- derly cared for by his wife and all members of his devoted family. excepting that of two married daughters and one unmarried son. all of whom reside in Ontario. On January 2nd. Mr. Doyle's con- dition became worse and as the day faded so did his strength and life. In the late afternoon he was visited by his pastor. the Rev. Fr T. Campbell, who administered the last rites of Holy Mother Church. of which Mr. Doyle was a devoted member. He leaves to mourn. his beloved wife. eight sons. four daughters. one brother two sisters and three grandchildren. The largely attended funeral. which was held on the morning of January 5th. procccdcd from the deccased's late residence to st. Ai:drew's Church. where a Requiem High Mass was celebrated by the row. Mrs. Fred Gamble presided. The meeting opened with the Scripture reading by Mrs. Harold Forsythe. followed by prayer by Mrs R. H. Pitt. A substantial do- nation was given to the Sunday School for the establishment of a reference library for the teachers. and plans were made for a. Bath- cr and Son Banquet to be given for the Cubs and Scouts of,Trinity Church on February 22nd. Following the business meeting a very informative talk was given by Mr. E. D. Nichols who is a psychiatrist with the Department of Health and Welfare. Mr. Nich- ols spoke briefly on the work now being done at Faiconwood Hospit- at He then showed a film dealing with problems arising among chil- dren and a discussion followed.
