Lieutenant Governor Mclnnis was ap-
pointed to his present position in Novem-
ber lwi. He was born .in Nova Scotia in
1840, of Scottish I resbyterian parentage
graduated in medicine in 1869, practiced
his profession for a time in Ontario and
removed to New Westminster,B,C.in 1874.
There he was elected to the Commons in
1878 and was called to the Senate by the
Conservative Government in 1881. As the
electorate has now expressed its disap-
probation of the Governor’s arbitrary act
in dismissing his late advisers, it is pre-
sumed that he will at once resign the
Governor-ship. Failing that he will no
doubt be dismissed.
