On arrival. the bride-to-he was re- ceived by the hostess and escort- ed to a prettiiy decorated chair of honor. The gifts were strategi- cally hidden in the living room and to the accompaniment of the alarm clock bell. Miss Livingston sought and found them. and the verses were rent by Mrs. Alan Nelson. Twelve beautiful cups and saucers were received by tho honored guest who graciously thanked her friends for the gifts and good wishes. An original hu- morous skit by Mrs. C. A. Show featured a mock groom (Mrs. Shaw). a family photograph al- bum and a hilarious proposal. when the "groom" had enacted a number of weird promises from the bride-to-be. a vocal solo "0 Promise Me" was beautifully sung by Mrs. J. D. MacLeod. An hour of singing and an original story in which the entire group took part was greatly enjoyed. At the toe hour. Mrs. R. G. Mac- Donald presided over the teacups and a delectable buffet lunch was served by the hostess. The dining room table was centred with a beautiful bouquet of narclssus and lilies-of-the-valley, flanked with tall white tapers.
