Bring your slides natural history articles, or tell us ofyourself or your natural history adventures. Feb. 7 - The Society’s first guest speaker for 1995 will be David Lemon. He will speak on his nest box and banding program for Kestrels on P.E.I. CHRISTMAS IDEAS: Christmas is again around the corner and this offers members a chance to support a favourite environmental cause while giving a very special gift to a friend. The following ideas may be of interest: Natural History Society memberships for 1995 make a great Christmas gift for the naturalists and bird watchers and are only $ 16 (refer to information on inner cover). The gift will come 4 or more times during the year and will give ongoing pleasure to the recipient. Island Wings, the Natural History Society’s colouring book, is being reprinted and will be available in local stores before Christmas. Copies are also available at the Society’s meetings and the Island Nature Trust for $ 3.50. The P.E.I. Museum and Heritage Foundation is selling copies of Floyd Trainor line illustrations of Red-winged Blackbird, White- throated Sparrow, and the Blue Jay for $ 4 plus taxes. The Island Nature Trust has a variety of products ranging from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. These products are available at Ravenwood (off Mount Edward Road on the Agricultural Research Station or phone 566-9150).
