Cold Storage gr | Pursuant to notice a meeting of! fishermen and others interested in providing a cold storage establish- ment for bait at Tignish was held in St Mary’s Hall on 15th January instant. The meeting was organized by calling Mr. E. S. Gallant to the chair and appointing the undersi- gned Secretary. Mr. B. D. McLellan M. P. brief- ly addressed the meeting explain- ing the proposed system of cold storage and introducing Mr Fraser of the Department of Marine and Fisheries. Mr Fraser spoke at considerable length giving an explanation of the system and the object of the Go- vernment and Parliament in pro- viding Cold Storage for bait in lo- calities where fresh bait could not be obtained at certain times during the fishing season. He also showed the great advantage of having a supply of bait at all times and trusted the fishermen of Tignish would avail themselves of the offer of the Government to assist in pro- viding Cold Storage at this place. Revd. D. M. McDonald also ad- dressed the meeting advising those present to unite and have a Cold Storage building erected, thereby assuring a supply of fresh bait so essential to the success of the fish- ermen. He expressed his intentions to take shares in the association and Mme.
