' \ Listen, I've stopped bugging you about going, why can't you stop bugging me aboutnot going? y ‘~ Bugging? I asked you if you saw the thing about ACI‘ in last week's paper. How's that bugging you about going? Care on, Gretchen, the only reason you nentioned the paper article was because you knew I read it. They Call her Paula the paranoid. How would _I_'kncw you read it? O.K. , O.\K., but you knew the article said things about the ‘ACI‘ weekend that would iupress me. » And you'd heard me say before that I didn't think ACI‘ had anything for me. So when you asked rte if I'd read the article, what you were saying was: "I told you so." A little bit maybe. But you did read the article? I read it, and like I said, it made ACI‘ sound good. But.,. . But of course it's gonna sound good — whoever wrote it was trying to get people to come to ACI‘. ( (Wrong Paula 4 you've got it backwards. I know the oruv who wrote it and he didn't start by saying: I'm gonna get lots of people to go to the ACI‘ weekend by saying lots of nice things bout it." Here's’iwhat he told Ire: "I started by saying: "Ihere are a lot of good things about the AC'I‘ weekend I'd like to tell people about.“ If ‘ any are looking for a way to find those things, I hope they read the article. ' " So you're trying to tell me this guy didn't try to make ACI‘ sound better than it is. He couldn't. Gretdflen, believe me, I'm not saying you're a liar or anything, but you're wrong. You say he couldn't make an MIT weekend sound better than it is. Well, why not? Everybody else does , it. Haven't you ever heard of V camercials? No Paula, the only reasm I‘m saying he couldn't make an ACI‘ sound better than it, is, is because it"s impossible. The idea of ACI‘ is God. Kids get together to listen. Some kids who maybe haven't been to a church in yearsr Protestants, and Catholics and whatever. All together in the same place for two whole days talking and thinking and sharing God's love. The guy who was writing the article couldn't make ACI‘ sound better than it is. Because when you're talking about ACT you're talking about the way kids open up and show His love to each other. You can't make that sound better than it is because nothing i_s_ better. I kncw you've,told Ire before, but when does the weekend start? ‘ September flaw-eighth - on that Friday night. Are you going? «And it's over...? " Suiday, just past noon. ‘ WILLMYOU 3: Paula : Gretchen : . Paula: Gretd'len : Paula : Gretchen : Paula : Gretd‘len : The UPEI Sun, Thursday, Sept. 20, 1979, page 5 THERE Listen Gretduen, seriously, is it really that good? It's not only good, it's fun. God's fun, ya know. Dorflt you mean 'loving'? God's loving, true, but love's fun - true? True. Can you get a registration form for Ire? Sorry.‘ I've found some people who'd really have loved ACT, don't end up going, because as good as' an ACI‘ weekend is, it's still a new experience. You're telling me it's a good idea if I take the first step myself. If you do, you'll be more likely to take the next one and be there when the weekend starts. NOIE: You can register for ACI‘ IX by picking up a form at the booth that will be in the hall of the library beginning September 24th. (Register in the first few days. ACT VIII sold out early.)
