HEREAS. on the night of Tuesday. the Sixth day of July last. a certain building known as the “Hospital and Surgery and Quartermaster's Rooms," forming part of the Victoria. Barracks Buildings. and situate at Brighton. in the Common of Charlottetown. was consumed by fire; and whereas. on the night of Saturday. the Fourteenth day of August. instant. a cer- tain other Building. known as the ‘ Officers‘ Quarters.‘ and other buildings in the rear thereof. and being also part of the said Victoria Barracks Buildings. were 'also consumed by fire; and whereas. it is apprehended that the said fires originated by the wilful and felonious act of some evil disposed person or persons. at present un- discovered. Now. therefore. in order to the discovery and punishment of any person or persons guilty of any of the aforesaid atrocious actsof Incendiarism, I have thought fit. by and with the advice and consent of Her Majesty’s Council. to proclaim; and I do hereby pro- claim and other a reward of THREE HUNDRED POUNDS, to any person or persons not the actual party to the act, who will give such information and evidence as will lead to the discovery. apprehension and conviction, ot the offender or offenders.
