McGuigun. . After hearing evidence of Dr. J. S. Led- weli, physician who attended the deceased the hearing adjourned until word is received back from an autopsy performed on the body of "the deceased, Mr. James W. McCallum is fore- man of the jury comprised of Messrs, Thomas White, L. A. Mc- Donald. G. S. Williams, Milton Bell. Frank Wheatley and Forest Slocombe. On being sworn in Dr. Ledwell stated that he had received a call to go to the home of the deceased on Euston Street around 9 o'clock Monday night. On arriving there he found the man in bed lying in a coma and vomiting. Witness had the deceased removed to the City Hospital for treatment where he, ave him treatment for coma but| he man passed away about an, hour after being admitted. In answer to o question by one of the jurymen witness stated that coma could be produced by several things such as a severe head in- jury. Poisoning or a severe illness. Witness could not give a definite statement as to the cause of death, but death could have been caused by acute poisoning alcoholic or otherwise.
