W International Student Association ARTICLE 1 - Name This organization shall be known as The University of P.E.I° International Students' Association. ARTICLE 2 - Objectives l)To foster friendly re- lations between students of different countries, races and cultures. 2)To make the foreign students feel at home upon their arrival and during their stay at the University. 3)To seek and maintain aff— iliation with the Internafional Students Organization at the other Campuses. 4)To encourage activities that will promote a better inter- national understanding. 5)To work towards the estab- lishment of an International students centre at the Campus ARTICLE 3 — Membership The regular membership shall consist of all the foreign - students of the University of Prince Edward Island, and the other interested students, Faculty and the Staff of the University. Did you ever The Executive may invite some members of the general public to be honorary members with no members with no voting rights._ ARTICLE 4 - Officers- The officers of the Assoc. shall consist of a Pres- ident, Vice—President, Sec- retary—Treasurer and Assist- ant Secretary-Treasurer. The executive of the Association will consist of the above officers. If needed, the ex- ecutive may add more mem— bers: these members must be elected from and by the re- gular members of the Assoc. ARTICLE 5 - Quorum At executive meetings, three or one-half of the executive members (whichever is great— er) shall constitute a quor- um. At all meetings of the Assoc, one—fourth of the reg— istered membership shall con- stitute a quorum. ARTICLE 6 - Revision of Constitution Changes in the constitution may take place at a general body meeting. Constititional changes must be ratified by a two-third vote of the mem— bers present. Any proposed changes must be circulated to all the regular members of the Assoc. at least 14 days before a meeting.
