' M?‘ Twins in Canadian Nomenclature The word "twin" occurs often in Canadian place names. For instance there are Twin falls on the Yoho riv- er, British Columbia; Twin peaks. and The Twins. the latter a double- headed mountain, both in the Rocky mountains in Alberta; 'I‘\vin Sisters islands in the St. Lawlence river. Ontario; andrTwintreg lake, moun- tain. andcreek in Alberta. Twintrce creek is a tributary of Smoky river, and the name originates in the fact that near the north end of the lake there are two small rock islands with a lone spruce tree on each. "The Blind Princess" on Monday ev- ening to a delighted audience which filled St. Paul's Hall. An introduct- ory chorus by St. Mary's Chorlaters. “Join in our Pleasure" and "The ‘Children's Hour" by the primary ‘ class werelpartlcularly pleasing. The play itself was exceptionally well put on and was a credit to the pupils and also to the Sisters of St. Mary's Academy, under whose instruction the pupils were prepared. The scene of the play laid in Old- Madrid and other Spanish beauty spots was won- derfully portrayed in very charming stage settings. Miss Doreen Gillis had perhaps the niosl. difficult task as thc."Blirlrl Princess." a part she played with marvelous realism. Miss Helen McPhee as the "Princess of Valencia" also played her part well. In fact all the characters acted their parts well and orc worthy of the highest praise. The gypsy dance was a pleasing part. of the program. Mu- sical numbers by the senlor- pupils between the acts added much to the evenings enjoyment. Rev. Bernard Gillis, of Charlottetown, was present gratulated the children and Sisters of the Academy on their great luc- cess. Rev. J. J. McDonald. Plato: of Sta.
