The regular meeting of Lincoln Institute was held at the home of Mrs. Wilfred McAleer on January 14 with eight members and three visitors present. The meeting opened with prayer. Roll call was answered by "My Favourite Pas- time." ' It was moved by Mrs. Chas. Gallant and seconded by Mrs. Peter Gallant that the bill for fruit be paid. Correspondence was read and discussed. The secretary reported that a pencil sharpener had been bought for the school. After some discussion it was de- cided to start card parties. Mrs. Wilfred McAieer volunteered to have one. the members to bring lunch and some cards. It was moved by Mrs. Wilfred McAleer and seconded by Mrs. Angus Gal- lant that cocoa and sugar be bought for school lunches. New committees appointed were: sick. Mrs. Wilfred McAlecr: pro- gramme. Mrs. Ernest Warren; school. Mrs. Gavin McAleer. The next meeting is to be held at the home of Mrs. Peter Gallant when roll call is to be answered with an article for "auction".
