Last fall's baseball crown. was the first one ever won by sport. This year’s four Island titles is the best showing by this town to date. even if sum- mer sports do not produce a single title. The previous high was two championships. The people guiding the teams and chiefly responsible for this sud- den surge into prominence in Island sports are: Jerry Mc- Lbs. For Gin-mack. Roddy Macinty're. Herman Connolly and Reggie Peters. For the latter. it meant three titles as he played with the Crossbones and coached the Bantam and High School hockey squads.
