Tun: Guardian representative has visited Bridgetown and succeeded in getting the following further particulars relative to the bold robbery repsrtei on Saturday. It appears that John \Vard, who owns the building, is away, and the Post Oilice is kept by Mrs. Ward, who discharges her duties In a way satisfact- ory to all and is a careful and painstaking official. She used to take the money received for P. 0. Orders to her bed room, but the late Mr. Bracken told her if she kept fit locked in a trunk in an inner room it would be safe enough. This she did until it amounted to one hundred when she would send it to the bank. The amou 1t on hand Monday night was about ninety dollars. Mrs. Ward went to bed about ll p m and be- tween that and morning the robbery took place. That evening a Farmers' Institute Meeting was held at the hall which did not close until 11 o'clock and it would probably be 12 before those pre- sent had departed for their homes. The night was very bright and line. The robbers to gain entrance out out a back window next to the orchard, out of aight of anyone passing down the street, and worked their way by opening a dour into the room where the money was kept by using a false lrey. By means of aacrew driver they opened the trunk, and in order to prevent anyone entering were considerate enough fu lock the door leading to the hallway, through which Mrs. Ward would have to come in order in get into the room. Besides the money, the P. 0. Order Book was also taken and what use they expected tu make of it no one can judge. It is rum- ored that certain strangers were in that vicinity-on Monday, ostensibly for tha purpose of buying cattle, and whose lodging place on Monday ,night ie not known. They have not been heard of since. Suspicion also rests on another party. and alhailiff from Montague is in the vicinity for the purpose of making an arrest. Interaction developments are hourly expected and the people are au- xioualy awaiting results. Olgalle- Loverelof a ohoiaa eiganshouid he easily pieaaed at the Central' Dmg- atora. The American girl is admired and liked at home and abroad because she is the happiest, usually the healthiest and friend- liest of girls. She is fond of life and is alive to everything beautiful and good in existence. Mrs. Langtry has said that the American woman has little to learn from her English sisters. ` Dr. Pierce, the specialist in women’a dis- Quses, of Buffalo, N. Y., advises simple ex- ercises for women, preferably in the out- Ioor air. But many women are connned to the house and their household duties or their business confines them to poorly ven- tilated rooms. If u woman auB°ers from a headache, a backache, a sensation of irritability cr twitching and uncontrollable nervousness, something must be wrong with the head or back, she naturally says, but all the time the real trouble very often centers in the womanly organs. ln 98 per cent. of cases the seat of the diiiiculty is here, and a woman should take rational treitment for its cure. The local disorder and inflamma- tion of the delicate special organs of the sex should be treated steadily and system- aticnlly. Backed up by over a third of a century of remarkable and uniform cures, a record such as no other remedy for the diseases and weaknesses peculiar to women ever attained, the proprietors and makers of Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription now feel fully warranted in offering to pay $500 for any case of Leucorrhea, Female Weakness, Pro- lapsus, or Falling of Womb which they cannot cure.
