An examination of Mr. Richards’ house by the poiice showed that the boys had ran- sacked every cornerof it, pulling out drawers and turning things geverally upside down. They took fron: the house a silver watch, a pocket knife, a pipe and $9 in cash. The meney was in Master Richards’ bank, which they broke open. About the same time Jat eveuing Mr. A.A. Manig, Mich., August 33.— A.report has reached the “Soo” of the recent discovery of a gold mine on the shores of Lake Wawa, about tive miles almost due north of Michipicoten, Ont, and 150 miles from the Soo.
