Forcitle and Unanswer- able Argument, P, E. ISLAND'S CLAIMS ABLY PRESENTED BY MR. MARTIN AND WELL SUPPORTED BY MR. A.C. McDONALD. Orrawa, May 2.—Mr. Martin, of Priace Edward Island, is again to the front with the finsncial and railway claims of his pro- viace. The argument that he made last year is remembered as one of the most complete statements hitherto furnished of the financial relations of Prince Edward Island to the Dominion. Yeaterday, on a motion for railway papers with partica~ lar reference to the branch railway frou: Southport to Murray Harbor, Mr. Martin went again into the whole subject. He points out that Prince Edward Island ia obliged to findan outside market for ite farm produce, and thatas winter trans- portation is precarious and expensive it is necessary to send abroad the produce with- in & limited time. Every censideration should be given under these circumstances to the desire of the farmers to get their goods to the proper seaport as cheaply and expeditiously as possible. Mr. Martin states that the railways on Prince Kdward Isiand have cost that pro~ vince Om an average $14,000 per mile ef iteown meney, bat only $3,000 from the KITCHENER ROUSES ANOTHER “FUZZY” Ali Dinar Makes a Big Fight AND DECEIVES KITCHENER’S ENVOY WITH BULLETS Killing One Hundred and Twenty of the Eseort (Srectat ro ram Examiner.)
