Sentimental memories of past thrills, successes and liappinesses draw huge crowds back for thc night. The old hotel is a scene of galety and light-heartedness recap- tured for the moment. Midst all this splendor, Jim Ben- nett, ex-convict, returns from pris- on. The plot of the story revolves about his attempt to regain a wal- let containing one hundred thou- sand dollars, which he had hidden in one of the rooms of the hotel five years before. Bennett runs into serious ob- struction in his plans when he ilnds lie cannot have the room in which he had hidden the money. More complications follow when he meets falls for a beautiful girl, masquer- ading as a "would-bc" suicide, who has been planted in the hotel by ri gang of crooks.
