his 82nd year, while his mother is 77, but

lived in Lot 31 for nearly 58 years and
there are only two of the residents now
living that were there when he settled in
Lot 31. John Colwill has lived some years

during the last 12 years he has lived on
the Pacific Coast. For the last eight
years he has been ranching in Edison.

THE ninth anniversary of the opening
of Wesley Memorial church was marked l
by special services in that church Sun-
day. The preachers of the day were Rev.
Geo. Steel, President of the N. B. :and P.
E. I. Conference, in the morning,and Rev.
Dr.Brecken, of Mount Allison University,
in the evening. At the morning service
Rev. R. S. Crisp, who has been pastor of
the church for four years, referred briefly
to the work of thechurcb and its growth.
It started with a membership of 64whicb'
had increased to 500 during the nine years.
The church had three pastors, viz: Rev.
T. JL Deinstadt, Rev. John Read and the
present pastor. Mr. Steel took'for his
morning subject-“The individual nature of
Gotl's love.” Special music was furnished
at both services by the choir. Rev. Dr.
Breckeu and Rev. Geo. Steel preached the
annual missionary sermons in the Central
Methodist church yesterday. Specia
music was furnished 'by the choir at both
services. Rev.Geo. Steel and Dr. Brecken
addressed the Y. M. C._A. mass meeting
in Wesley Memorial church Sunday
