' Second Period IN Megoniaiiiiiii RICHARD (JOHNSTON The residents of Middleton and surrounding districts were sadden- ed and shocked on the morning of Dec. 11. 1950. to learn of the sudden and untimely death of their friend and neighbour in the person of Mr. Richard Johnston. The deceased had suffered a severe stroke in the early morning of Dec. 10 from which he failed to rally and on the above men- tioned date his soul paased to the Great Beyond. Although he had reached the advanced age of eighty-one years Mr. Johnston had been enjoying goodhealth up un-' A til his sudden illness. The late Mr. Johnston was born in Middleton. son of the late Rich- ard Johnston and Mary Ann Me- Murrer and except for a few years spent in the United States had lived all his life on the family homestead. He was it member of St. Mais- chi's Church. Klnkora and died fortified by the last rites of Holy Mother Church, administered by his pastor, Rev. Fr. McQuaid. He leaves to mourn his death his wife formerly Sabina Kelly of Klnkora: one daughter (Mary) Mrs. Ernest Deighan. Summersidc: and two sons. Charlie of Everett. Mass. and Seblness of Klnkoro. besides twenty-one grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. who will ever cherish loving memories of their grandfather.
