COUNCILLORS (includes Arts, Business, Science, Education, Vet. Medicine, Graduate Student, Mapus representatives): All councillors of UPEISU shall: - Act as a liaison between their particular constituency groups and the SU as a whole 5 - Represent the views and interests of suborganizations, associations, societies, and clubs active within their constituency, with due regard to the concerns and interests of the SU as a whole - Sit on at least one SU committee during office tenure SENATORS, BOARD OF GOVERNORS STUDENT REP., MAPUS SENATE REP.: The student representative on the Board of Governors and the five Senate reps. shall: = Serve a one year term from the date elected. -Act as Governors or Senators of the University - Be a ap meMP es, of Council with regular duties of Councillors OMBUDS PERSON: The Ombudsperson shall: _ Be elected for a one year term = Endeavour to aid any member of the UPEISU who encounters difficulties with the University and/or the UPEISU = Inform students as to what recourse are available for prominent student concerns on campus and publicize these recourse through campus media * Be a non-voting member of council ~ Be entitled to attend any meeting of the UPEISU including meetings which are ordinarily considered confidential, such as Hiring and Selection, Executive, or special investigatory meetings. = Be entitled access to the files, business reports and financial records of the UPEISU ยป Not assume any other position on campus during office tenure CLASS EXECUTIVES: SENIOR: Senior class executive shall be responsible for organizing activities and raising funds for Senior Week of their graduating year. ALL OTHER CLASS EXECUTIVES: shall raise money to plan for their graduating year. Junior class also assists with Senior Week Activities
