New Time Clock. Score Board Arrives At Forum The new time clock. score board and period indicate unit that will grace the north end of the I-'or.un during the forthcoming hodtey season arrived here yesterday from Oshawa. Ontario. it. was an nounced last night by Forum manager Bill Brown. The combined unit that fulfills all three purposes at once has an overall length and width of 21 feet by 11 feet. with the clock face it- self measuring six feet in width and 11 feet in depth. it has a blue hand indlcatirig the minutes of play and a red hand the seconds. Describing it last night Mr. Browi stated ”lt la a beautiiul piece of equipment.” The clock mechanism takes u the centre area. of the unit wit. the lower part. comprising the scoreboard that indioetcs up to 19 .-oals, while the four corners of the init. carries the' period indicators .r.cluding overtime. The board is being installed by the imperial Tobacco Company. which will send its own special supervisor here early next week to take charge of the work while the actual installation will be carried out by a local electrical firm. Rovers And Stars Clash loillghi The Northeast Rovers grid the East End Stars will club at Mem- orial Field this evening in a regu- lar City Baseball League fixture at 5:30. It will be the third attempt by the two clubs to run the game oil. having had two earlier postpone- ments. once on August fifth and again last Sunday. and will be one of three games left to be played, in the regular schedule. The other two games. Rovers at Anchors and stars at Anchors. will be played on Thursday and Friday of this week respectively. At the present time Rovers are in third spot in the league stand- ing one game down on the lead- ing Anchors. while Stars are in the cellar three games below the leaders.
