Britain's Dismissal. ; By the end of November Sir Redvers Buller will have under com- mand nearly 70,000 regular troops, besides the thousands of volunteers. | The regular army is the largest British | army that has been put into the fields the Crimea. If we turn from the personnel of the force to questions of €quipment and transportation, we find still further evidence of Britain’s deter- mination to make this war an evidence of her power. No other nation in the world could despatch within six days 50,000 troops fully equiped for war on an ocean journey of considerably over 6,000 miles. Yet this is what Britain will do, and that without great appar— ent effort. The Continental powers have acknowleged Britain’s naval supremacy, but they have been more than sceptical with regard to her ability for carrying on extensive operations on land. The despatch of 50,000 troops within six days will be an object lesson that cannot fail to inspire that kind of respect which will make them still more careful in future about provoking unnecessary wars. Amen. Screamed es From the Terrible WITH.. A gony Itching, Burning Tortures of ... Eczema on the Scalp Some of the cures effected by Dr. Chase's Ointment are more like miracles than anything else. The case recorded here was one of the worst ever brought to the attention of Toronto’s best physicians, and when doctors gave up all hope of recovery Dr. Chase's Ointment was successful in producing a perfect cure. Mr. James Scott, 136 Wright Ave., Toronto, tates: ‘‘My boy Tom, aged ten, was for nearly three years afflicied with a bad form of Eczema of the scalp, which was very unsightly and resisted all kinds of remedies and doctor's treatment. His heac was in a terrible state. We had to keep bim irom schvol, and at times his head would bleed, and the child would scream with agony. For two and a half years we battled with it in vain, but at last found a cure in Dr, Chase's Ointment. About five boxe3 were used. ‘The original sores dried up, leaving the skin in its normal condition.
