Met a car at Gmndrivar Ferry. Havel- ock McLean and Bannerman Mc- Dougall were in the car. Mr. Mc- Dougall and Mr. McLean were suffering from shock. No pulse ac- tion. Both were conscious. Asked ambulance to go on to scene of ac- cident and returned to hospital wheze he treated I-Iavelcck McLean for shock. He was also suffering from fracture oi’ pelvis, also some of bones of spine. Dr. Grant said he gave shock treatment and also blood transfusions st once. In his opinion oause of death was shock, multiple iractues and hemmorr- hage oi the brain. Could have been caused by collision or by being thrown against some object. Had no reason to doubt but that Mc- Lean was ln good physical condit- ion previous to accident; also treated Bannerman McDougall who hari pronounced heart condition and lacerations about forehead. Had to administer stimulants for his heart. He could have received his injuries by being ti-lrown viol- ently against some solid object. Dr. Grant said he had no con- versation with any of the patients as to whom was driving the Ame:- ican car. The following verdict was brought ln "Re the death or Havelock Mc- Lean."
